CLIO - Journal of Ancient and Medieval History
at Dickson College
CLIO (since 1996) is an occasional publication of research papers by students and teachers of Archaeolology, Ancient and Medieval History at Dickson College, ACT, Australia.
It is named after the ancient Greek muse of history, one of the nine muses who were the daughters of Zeus and Mnemosyne, according to Hesiod. The other muses were Caliope, Euterpe,Terpsichore, Erato, Melpomene, Thalia, Polyhynmia and Urania.
CLIO has been honoured with an ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE award by StudyWeb.com, who describe the journal as 'one of the best educational resources on the web.'
