2008

TERM 1 2008

Monday 4 Feb at 9am: Welcome to our new students! Year 11 students and new Year 12 students meet in the hall at 9am.

Tues 5 Feb at 9am: Welcome back everyone! All students attend college at 9am. Year 11s meet in the gym and Year 12s meet in the canteen. 

Thurs 21 Feb at 6pm: Meet the teachers evening. Meet and chat in the canteen area, followed by an information session in the hall regarding tertiary and accredited packages, UAIs, units, majors, minors and more! All welcome!

Tues 4 March: Moderation Day. No classes. Teachers meet at various school venues to moderate students' work.

Mon 10 March: Canberra Day Public Holiday. All schools closed. 

Fri 21 March: Good Friday. All schools closed. 

Mon 24 March: Easter Monday. All schools closed. 

Thurs 10 April from 4.30pm to 7pm: Parent / teacher evening in the hall. Parents are invited to discuss student progress with their teachers. Students should try to book interview times with their teachers beforehand.

Term ends Friday 11 April.

TERM 2 2008

Monday 28 April: Welcome back! School resumes.

Thurs 22 May - Sat 24 May at 7pm: Drama production in the Anthill Theatre. Come & see the acting talents of our drama students as they present the David Williamson play "Operator". More pictures

Thurs 29 May - Sat 31 May at 7pm: Drama students present a second David Williamson play - "Influence".

Thurs 5 June from 7pm till 9pm: Open Night. Prospective students, parents and the school community are invited to tour the college, visit the different faculties and find out about enrolments.

Mon 9 June: Queen's Birthday Public Holiday. All schools closed.

Mon 16 June from 5.30-6.30pm: Community Night in the Freda Ford Lounge. Parents & carers are invited to a get-together to hear about practical ways of supporting our students and each other. The school counsellor, Chris Jenkins, will provide practical advice and there will be time for questions and suggestions.

Wed 18 June to Tuesday 24 June: Tests.

Wed 25 June: No classes - test marking. 

Thurs 26 June: Mini timetable and handback day.

Fri 27 June: No classes until semester 2.

Mon 30 June: Semester 1 results displayed in faculties.

Mon 30 June to Fri 4 July: Work Experience Yrs 11 and 12. 

Mon 14 July: Reports posted.

Term ends Friday 4 July. Happy holidays!

TERM 3 2008

Monday 21 July: Welcome back! School resumes.

Thurs Aug 14: Moderation Day. No classes. Teachers meet at various school venues to moderate students' work.

Tues 2 Sept & Wed 3 Sept: AST testing for Year 12 students who want a UAI (Universities Admission Index).

Term ends Fri 26 Sept.

TERM 4 2008

Monday 13 Oct: Welcome back! School resumes.

Thurs 20 Nov - Wed 26 Nov: Tests.

Thurs 27 Nov: Year 12 Breakfast in the canteen from 8am-9am; followed by Handback Day (9am to 1pm). 

Fri 28 Nov: No more classes for the year.

Mon 1 Dec - Fri 5 Dec: Work Experience Years 11 & 12.

Mon 1 Dec: Unit scores and provisional course scores displayed in faculties at 2pm.

Tues 2 Dec: Unit appeals close at 12pm.

Wed 3 Dec: Year 12 final package check in Conference Room.

Mon 8 Dec - Fri 12 Dec: Work Experience Year 11 only.

Fri 12 Dec: Final scores displayed at 9am in faculties. Appeals for course scores close 12 noon.

Thurs 18 Dec at 5pm: Graduation ceremony at Llewellyn Hall.

Fri 19 Dec: Last day of the school year. Holidays begin.
